I write about the hurt and the pain and the bitterness that I feel. And, I tend to write about the same person and the same things over and over again in different words. I love to love but I hardly ever do. I am sensible and I let my mind speak for itself. I’m not sure if I love who I’ve become, but I’m getting there.

There’s nothing like a man who is mature, caring, and has a heart. And at the same time, has tattoos, piercings, and smokes cigarettes.

A lot of people question why exactly I decided to put myself in the beauty world, why exactly I want to be a cosmetologist, and why exactly I see myself doing this for the rest of my life. It’s not just because I love it. It’s not just because I love doing hair and make-up. It’s really not just that. I believe that physical appearance is important. I’m not saying it’s more important than inner beauty but it’s important to feel physically good about yourself. Even the most beautiful girls out there feel insecure and not confident in themselves. What us cosmetologists have the ability to do, is to make you feel better about your appearance. We have the ability to do whatever it takes to make you feel confident looks-wise. So many people look forward to having their hair done, their make-up done, etc. And we have the opportunity to take you away from all of your problems, and allow you to take a few hours to yourself. Police officers, for example, can be just as powerful as a cosmetologist. But who looks forward to seeing a police officer? Not many people. But just about everyone looks forward to seeing the person who they get their hair done with, etc. People look forward to seeing their hair stylist. And one day, someone will look forward to seeing me. But another main reason why I decided to become a cosmetologist is because I never felt so confident in myself. I never have although I cover it up pretty well. As a cosmetologist, I have the ability to make others feel confident in themselves if I can’t do that for myself. I would much rather see other people happy and good about themselves. I can honestly say, this is something I can see myself doing for the rest of my life. And I wish most people would just understand that and see how many capabilities and advantages we have in this industry. A lot of people don’t realize how powerful a cosmetologist can be. But some people may never really open their eyes. And may never know.  Not even being a cosmetologist yet, I know that we love what we do. And that’s all that matters. And soon, I can proudly say, that will be me.
